Senior Process

Step 1: Tell Me All About You

No two senior sessions are exactly the same, because no two seniors are exactly alike!

To create a senior session you’ll love, first I need to get to know a little bit about you. After you book, I’ll send you a quick questionnaire, which covers everything from your hobbies to your favorite color.

Seniors, this questionnaire is all about YOU, but I strongly encourage you to fill this out with your parents. Especially if Mom or Dad is paying for your session, you want to make sure you’re on the same page as them!

Step 2: We Brainstorm + Plan Together

Using your questionnaire answers, we’ll collaborate on all the details.

If you haven’t already chosen a package, we’ll determine which one is right for you, based on your budget, how long you want your session to be, and how many photos you want to be able to keep.

Then we’ll move on to all the fun stuff: the what, where, when, and who!

  • What do you plan to wear, and what props do you need?
  • Where do you want to take pictures?
  • When do you want to take your photos? (This usually depends on the ‘where’!)
  • Who do you want to bring - your parents, a friend, a pet?

Don’t stress if you don’t know the answers yet. That’s what I’m here for! I’ll help discuss outfit options, brainstorm locations, and figure out the best time to take photos in those locations.

If you do have a vision in mind, I want to see ALL of your inspo photos. Send me screenshots, share your Pinterest board, or DM pictures to me on Instagram as you’re scrolling.

Step 3: Capture Photos!

Now for the best part!

Whether you’re super excited for shoot day or dread being in front of the camera, I promise to do my best to make it a good time. I’ll have your favorite music playing (that’s why I ask for your favorite song on the questionnaire!) and we’ll just have fun. I’ll also show you the back of the camera as we go, so I can make sure you’re loving it!

Depending on how many locations we’re shooting, how far apart those locations are, and how much time we have, your session may be split into two days.

Step 4: I Edit, You Pick Your Favorites

Then it’s time for me to work my magic on my end! I’ll narrow down the photos and edit them, making minor touch-ups.

When they’re ready, I post the images to my proofing website and send you a link so you can take a look.

You and your parents choose the images you want to keep. I’ll refine them one last time before sending you the final images!

If you have too many you love and you can’t decide, there’s always the option to purchase additional photos a la carte!
